Daniele Di Bonaventura was born in Fermo and started his musical studies at the age of 8. Initially he studied the piano and composition and later the bandoleon. As a pianist his participation in the Roccella Jonica Jazz Festival with the New Talents Band directed by Oliver Lake in 1987 and David Murray in 1988 is worthy of note. Many of his compositions have been issued under the label Tirreno. He was finalist for the International Concert of Musical Youth
With his Bandoleon in 1996 with the Felure Quintet which he himself formed in 1994. Currently he is working with Enzo Favata, substituting Dino Saluzzi, as well as playing with the percussionist Alfredo Laviano with whom he has produced the CD Improvisation.
